It’s Trifecta Tuesday, only two days into the week and I’m already exhausted. Good news is I have the chance to go to Seattle this weekend, so I’m considering it. It could be like a little mini vacation and I wouldn’t be mad about it. But, for now, here are my top picks of the week!
1. BP. Lance Block Heel Booties
If you buy nothing else from these Trifecta Tuesday posts, these booties should be in your cart immediately, if not sooner. The trends will come and go, but these block heel booties are here to stay and are literally the perfect color (although reviews say they’re a bit darker than shown – totally fine with me!). I’ve found it really hard lately to find leather booties that I like – all the ones I look at are suede and that’s such a pain. I mean, probably half my shoe collection is suede, so I don’t hate it, but come on leather, where have you been all my life? Booties are the classic Fall and Winter shoe that look good with practically anything you pair them with – skinny jeans, flared jeans, skirts, dresses, leggings – you name it, these booties will work. Oh and they’re under $100 so they’re not completely breaking the bank.
2. West Elm – Lush Velvet Pillow Covers
With Fall upon us, one of the things I like to do to spruce up our home decor is to switch out pillows and pillow covers. It’s something really simple that you can do in a matter of minutes and can completely change the look of a room. These velvet covers are the perfect thing to add to our living room. The texture looks luxurious and the regal blue color is my absolute favorite. I like to mix and match my pillows, so I’ll probably find some printed covers (a pattern that’s light and airy will go well with the richness of the velvet) as well and pair them with the velvet ones. These would also make the perfect gift for the holidays. Adding the monogram gives it more of a personal touch. These come in at just under $30 and if you haven’t signed up to receive their emails, do so. It’ll usually give you a 10-15% off discount code. Every little bit helps, right?
3. Anthropologie – Glenna Cake Stand
One of my favorite parts of baking is purchasing serving ware to display my baked goods. I like to buy really pretty new pieces and pair them with really old vintage pieces often times from Goodwill. You don’t have to spend a fortune on plates, glasses, silverware – just hit up your local Goodwill: You’ll be amazed at the items available. And, if you’re a budding food photographer, this is an absolute must. You can get a wealth of styling props for a fraction of the price. Ok, sorry, that was a side note 🙂 Back to this gorgeous cake plate. Like I said, I like to mix the old with the new. And this new piece from Anthropologie (Because….obviously) is to die for. I love that it has taller sides than most cake plates and the detailing in the ceramic is just so dainty and pretty. Think of an all white -iced cake or some cupcakes being showcased on there. So pretty for parties or everyday!
