Plaid Top & Jeans
Nothing says fall to me more than breaking out the plaid. I bought this plaid button down during the Nordstrom sale and it’s been continuously in and out of stock ever since then. Thankfully they keep restocking it for you guys! It’s such a great staple to have in your closet because it’s pretty long – long enough to wear with leggings and cover your bottom half. And it’s really, really comfy. It kind of reminds me of a flannel material, but softer, if that makes any sense. I have it tied in the front, but you could also do just a front tuck, or leave it hanging down altogether. Or, leave it unbuttoned and wear it over a tighter dress (this ruched dress would be perfect).
I’ve paired the top with a simple, mid wash, distressed denim, a pair of flats and my go-to leather bag. This look would be great for game day, errands, lunch with friends, or if your work is casual – then a work day. You don’t have to spend a lot to have great style. Sometimes those staple items can really make an outfit. This plaid top is under $50 and is the least expensive thing I’m wearing, yet it stands out the most! Make sure to size down at least one size. I’m wearing an x-small. For more plaid inspiration, I’ve linked a couple more below.
