I’m back guys! My mom went back home on Wednesday and we had the best time. But, it’s always crazy how much stuff piles up when you take time off. With that said, I wouldn’t trade it for the world! AND I know I have loyal followers who appreciate family time as well, so I knew you’d understand my quick absence 🙂 Thank you!
Okay, now onto this workwear look that I want to wear everyday because of the chicness. You can call me bossbabe, ha! I was getting quite a few messages that you wanted to see more workwear, but then when I did an Instastory poll, more people said they’d like to see casual wear, so looks like it’s all over the board and I’ll just have to incorporate both!
This all black look is something so simple that anyone can pull off. It is an absolute staple of an outfit and lets not forget that black looks good on everyone! There are only 4 items here-black top, black pants, black heel and black purse. I would guarantee most of us own these four items. You maybe haven’t styled them together, but you own them in general. The variations on this look can be quite a few. For instance, swap out the wide leg pant I’m wearing with a skinny leg pant and either keep the heel or pair it with a black bootie. Or, change out the pant altogether and wear a pencil skirt. I’d make sure to keep the top tucked in if you’re wearing this option, as it’s not a long top. The full black look itself says “powerful” and will definitely turn heads. This is a great look for a business or business casual environment. Instead of grabbing that same ol’ suit, this would be a good option. All black screams classic and chic and that’s what every power woman wants to be. I wore a pointy toe heel which elongates the leg and carried a black and white purse.
One of my favorite things about this look is the white embroidery and ruffle on the sleeves. This top from Zara is all cotton (which I love…and is rare, but I may be the only one out there that is noticing the polyester takeover, sigh.) but still washes easily and fits true to size (I’m wearing a small). It’s also under $40! If you haven’t taken a peek at Zara’s website lately, do it. They have some incredible pieces right now. For me, it’s usually a hit or miss store, but lately, it’s absolutely amazing. And, if you haven’t shopped there before most items are very affordable – think dresses for $70 and under, tops for $50 and under, etc. It can be overwhelming to shop there with the amount of selection they have (both online and in the store), but just stick with it and do it in phases if you have to!
