Trifecta Tuesday | Top Picks for Fashion, Design and Baking for the Week!
1. Nike – Free Focus Flyknit 2 Bionic Training Shoe
These shoes were an incredible top seller at the Nordstrom Sale (which is where I snagged them!) and they sold out immediately. Well, they’re back in stock now and available in all sizes. Bad news is – they aren’t on sale anymore. BUT, even though they’re full price, they are seriously worth every penny. Now, let me preface this with, I don’t work out with tennis shoes. I do Pure Barre as a workout, so when I buy athletic shoes it’s for things like being comfortable, walking around large cities (like New York) and looking fashionable. With that being said, these shoes are like walking on little puffy clouds. Seriously – I’m pretty sure they don’t get more comfortable than this. If you haven’t seen the flyknit shoes that Nike has come out with, I highly suggest you get to a store and feel the lightweight stretchy material. It conforms to your foot and makes it feel like you’re wearing nothing. I also love that the tag of the shoe is integrated into the flyknit, so it doesn’t shift while moving. I really can’t say enough good things about these. But, let me end it with, they’re pink, and that’s amazing.
2. MeAConcrete – Hexagon Marble Coasters
A top home item that every home needs are coasters. I don’t care if you live in an apartment, a tiny home, a mansion or a houseboat, a good coaster helps to protect your furniture and adds a bit of an accessory to the room. I am a sucker for white marble and gold together, so obviously these coasters make sense for my style. If you look on MeAConcrete’s Etsy store there are a ton of variations that I’m sure will fit your style as well. My second favorite are the concrete and gold ones. Now, if you’re not in the market for a good coaster right now, think of these as the most amazing housewarming or holiday gift. I mean, no one is going to turn down an awesome set of coasters. Keep a couple styles on hand and you’re set come the holidays! Voila, no more stress-running around to find the perfect gift under $50, plus you’re supporting a local designer. Only takes 3-5 days to ship, so order now and have on hand for later. Now you can mark that “miscellaneous gift” off your list.
3. Olive & Sinclair Small Batch Chocolate
Whenever possible, I like to search around for small batch businesses. Yes, they usually cost a little more, but I’m happy to pay a small business more money for a homemade item. Insert small batch chocolate company – Olive & Sinclair. When you do a Google search for small batch chocolate or best small batch chocolate company, Olive & Sinclair always pops up. A company based in Nashville, TN, this chocolate company is turning out chocolate bars that sound absolutely amazing. If you’ve read my previous posts, I like to buy different chocolates as stocking stuffers over Christmas time. It’s fun to pick out different flavors to suit the different people and I’m supporting a small business so that makes me happy. I think this year, I will try Olive & Sinclair. While they don’t have a ton of flavors, the ones they do have sound amazing and let’s face it, good chocolate can stand on its own if it’s done right. Oh, and this is probably just me, but I would also buy from this company because of their well-designed branding. I’m an Art Director by day, so if you have a good logo, good packaging and a good website, you’ve caught my eye. You’d be amazed at how much branding can make a difference for a product, but I digress. Now I need chocolate.
