Okay, so I’ve been looking for a cute pair of leopard sandals for a while now. I’m not usually an animal print kind of girl, but I’ve seen a pair of TopShop sandals that I really liked and of course they only have them in a size 6 and under. Booo…so on the hunt (get it?) I went. Just the other day, I came across these Dolce Vita espadrilles and they check all of the boxes. One – they’re a slide: Easy to slip on and run out the door. Two- they’re an espadrille: I feel like espadrilles have a tendency to dress up an outfit just a bit more. Three- the print is just the right amount of animal. I’m not into overly leopard print things, so these are perfect. These will look great paired with a white tee and jeans, or a striped t-shirt dress, or a pair of denim shorts and a peplum top. The color works great as a neutral, so don’t be afraid to try them with a variety of looks. Just because there’s a pattern on them, doesn’t mean they can’t go with another pattern. Mix and match is key here.
I am finally getting around to decorating my office space. I’ve had the desk and rug for awhile, but I’ve been gradually adding pieces that I think will complement the space. There are two things I’m lacking; storage and things to hang on the wall. Since I do a lot of crafting, I find myself having a lot of little odds and ends; ribbons, paints, stickers, etc. and so when I found these acrylic cubes I thought they would be perfect to hang a grouping of them on the wall. I can then place a canister or bowl inside with misc. items and get those out of the way. Plus, I love the look of anything acrylic. They’re pretty small (6×6), but there is also an acrylic shelf from CB2 that would be the larger version if you needed that instead. In any case, I think I can check these off my list!
By now it’s no surprise that I LOVE anything Anthro. I mean, can someone just give me an unlimited gift card there so I can just call it a day?! While there clothes are awesome, their home goods are just as great. If you go in store, a lot of the time, they’ll have a whole home section that’s on sale that no one has touched. You can find some great deals on plates, napkins, bowls, etc. If you do any food photography it’s great because you can pick up one or two single items instead of getting a multiple pack that you don’t need. But, back to this pitcher. It’s summer, you’re entertaining and you want to bring some color into your tablescape. Swapping out otherwise boring pieces is a surprisingly easy way to add some color. I love the mix of patterns on this pitcher. If you had two of these on your table and then had some lemons as decor, the color combo would be killer. Plus, it’s summer and everyone needs water, lemonade, sangria, whatever, so why not serve it in a pretty pitcher?
