Slides are having their moment this year and I’m certainly not unhappy about it for many reasons. They’re so easy to wear and head out the door; no tying laces or buckling straps, plus the variety out there right now is insane. I was perusing PoshMark yesterday and this girl was posting a ton of Zara shoes. She had them completely overpriced (I love a good deal!), but I really liked them all and I remembered how much of love the look and price of Zara shoes. Their clothing is usually hit or miss with me (I feel like I’m swimming in a lot of their clothing because of the flowiness), but a lot of their shoes (as long as they’re not uber trendy – that’s just not me) are very cute and very affordable. These silver beauties are just under $30. The silver color will be a neutral in your wardrobe so dress accordingly. In my head right now, I’m seeing them paired with a cropped, wide-leg pant and a breezy camisole: A great errand, brunch or everyday outfit!
2. Christie Adelle – Lyla Canvas
I follow Christie Adelle on Instagram and I love, love, love her artwork. I literally want every piece to hang up in our home. The colors and motion in her paintings are something I’m drawn to every time I see one pop up on my feed. And honestly, they’re pretty darn well-priced. The one shown above is on a flash sale right now and is under $170 on canvas, with a frame!! You can also get it as just a print if you don’t want the canvas. I’m always on the hunt for artwork that draws me in and I think the color palette on the one above does it for sure. I’m a sucker for anything that has a rich, emerald green color (it’s surprisingly hard to find!). It has become one of my favorite colors lately. I like to pair it with a soft (not brassy) gold anywhere I can find a place in our home. Enough about me (got off on a side note), check her work out; it’ll look great in a gallery wall or on it’s own. Or, if you’re really nice, as a gift!
3. Lemonbird – Cara Cara Orange and Quince Jam
I’ve mentioned this before, but I will do it again – sometimes for this third item I want to showcase local, smaller businesses that are making beautiful food products (know anyone? pass their name along and I’ll try and showcase them!!). And, with summer in full effect (at least in Arizona), I know that a cheese tray is going to be a staple during pool parties and girl time. I love finding handcrafted artisan items to include in my party staples. Let’s just say I’m not a throw some chips out and call it a day kind-of-girl. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, it’s just not in my dna. The jams and preserves at Lemonbird look incredibly yummy and I can’t wait to try them. I chose the orange and quince because that kind of reminds me of my childhood. My dad would always make us bagels, toasted in the oven, and then put cream cheese and orange marmalade on top. It is still one of my favorites. And I think this jam from Lemonbird would be my new favorite to an old memory. Be sure to look around their shop for their seasonal flavors. There is a lot to choose from, so I’m not sure how you’re going to pick just one!
