1. Ann Taylor – Velvet Ankle Pants (chianti color shown)
In my many Instagram scrolling moments I came across these lush velvet pants and absolutely fell in love. So….I’m immediately featuring them so you can be in love too! These just scream the holidays to me and are so classic and pretty. They would be perfect for a holiday party or nice dinner. You could dress them up with a jacket and heels or dress them down with a sweater and flats. If you’re not quite daring enough for a deep red pair of pants, you’re in luck as they also come in black and gray. Check the Ann Taylor website often as these might just be on sale soon!
I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but the stores have forced me to look at Christmas items and now I can’t stop. West Elm has got to be one of my favorite all-time stores. I feel like I can go into one of their stores and buy one of everything. Their style is on-point. I think most people forget that stores like West Elm also carry holiday items for different seasons. You can usually find really cute pillows, ornaments, table settings, etc. and currently, I’m crushing over this light-up wreath. I absolutely love decorating for Christmas and anything that lights up gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. My absolute favorite thing to do during the holidays is turn all of the lights off, turn my Christmas lights on and just sit in the beautiful glow. It’s such a calming feeling. Anywho, back to this stunning wreath – it’s sparkly, modern goodness. This would look great indoors over a fireplace or on the back of your front door. It’s a showstopper, so put it on display!
The holiday season calls for yummy desserts of all shapes and flavors. While I love to bake (as you all know), I also love to find local food items around town to give as gifts or eat myself (hey- I have to taste test before I send it along)! I lived in Atlanta for over 10 years and never did I come across a company making caramels. When I moved to Arizona, it was one of the first things I found in my local search. And now, well, I can’t stop eating them. These goat milk caramels from The Simple Farm are absolutely delicious. Caramels are perfect to tie to the outside of a gift, put as a stocking stuffer or give as a small present. I love that they’re locally made because it makes them that much more special. The chocolate covered ones are my favorites, but honestly any of them will work just fine, ha! On a side note, after I consumed way too many last year, I thought I’d try my hand at making them…..um, it didn’t go so well. I have complete respect for candy makers. I have yet to be able to accomplish caramels or fudge. Sigh. The Simple Farm it is! 🙂
