1. Prairie Underground Harmonia Tee (Silverleaf color shown)
This simple tee is a staple piece to have in your wardrobe. It is made in the USA (Seattle to be exact) which is always a good selling point and is made of 55% Hemp and 45% Organic Cotton, which means that it’s super soft and comfy. You can wear this basic tee under a jacket, with a great scarf, or just on its on as a tunic. This piece is on sale right now for under $60. And, if you don’t know anything about the company, I suggest you check them out. It’s always fascinating to know the back story behind a brand made in the USA.
2. Minted Koselis Glasses Pillow (By Kimberly Ellen Hall)
Isn’t this pillow just adorable? If you don’t know what Minted is, you’re going to be so excited when you look at their website. It has everything from cards and invites to pillows and napkins, all by aspiring designers. I’ve even submitted some designs, it’s so fun! The pillow shown above comes in 7 color schemes (I chose Teal, but I also like Frost and Mint). Minted lets you pick the color scheme you want along with pillow size. It does take a little bit of time to receive your order, but it’s totally well worth it to have a design that not everyone is going to have. And of course, it’s always awesome to buy from aspiring designers.
For those of you who don’t know what this is you’re either going to want one immediately when you find out, or really care less. But…this cake strip goes around your 9″round or 8″ square pans and helps your cake cook evenly with no browned edges or domed top. If you’re just doing a single layer cake, this tool may not be that awesome to you, but I made a tripe layer cake about a year ago and had to put damp cloth strips around the outside of the pans so they would have a flat top. It was a total pain. This cake strip would have been wonderful had I known there was such a thing! This even works for pies and casseroles to prevent them from having a crusty edge. Don’t ask how it works, but it’s a very cool thing when you need it.
